RISMA Remuneration & HR Outsourcing Services was formed as a partnership between Isabella Steyn and Marna Schilz (Albertyn) in 2006. The business boasts a diverse clientele including both small to medium enterprises and corporate businesses across all sectors.

The partners worked together for almost 9 years at a senior and executive management level in the same group human resources team, before founding their partnership to offer bespoke remuneration and HR outsourcing services under the RISMA brand.

Isabella and Marna have extensive experience in their respective fields of speciality including remuneration and benefits, industrial relations and general human resources systems, policies and practices.

Their extensive experience working in a corporate environment, as well as the subsequent experience gained consulting for both big and small business across all sectors, makes them the ideal HR partner for both business owners who do not have a dedicated HR function and executive teams who with to draw on a rich pool of additional expertise.

Isabella

Isabella Steyn

B Juris (UOFS); LLB (UNISA); Diploma in Labour Relations (UNISA Business School).

Isabella has 28 years of experience in managing all aspects of human resources in large production, marketing and logistical companies within the pharmaceutical, armaments and fruit exporting industries, both in Gauteng and the Western Cape, before parting to form RISMA.

She has a passion for working with both corporate and small business clients. In the corporate side, her in-depth experience and broad base of expertise enables her to work almost seamlessly with management teams at all levels.

With small businesses, Isabella is able to fulfil the role of ‘HR manager’, making accessible in-depth expertise and insights covering almost every aspect of HR and employee management.

Marna Schilz

Marna Schilz (Albertyn)

B Comm – Personnel Management (University of Pretoria).

Marna gained her 17 years of remuneration and general human resources experience in the Sheriff’s office and the fruit exporting industry in Pretoria and the Western Cape, before parting to form RISMA.

Whilst in the fruit export industry, Marna oversaw the implementation and management of ten payrolls and associated employment benefits within the group and carried the full fiduciary duty for all the payrolls. Marna has also served as an Independent Principal Officer for a large Provident Fund of over 700 members with an asset value of over a R130 million.

Marna also enjoys working with both corporate and small businesses. Her ability to design and project-manage administration-intensive projects, where accuracy and compliance is key, stands her in good stead with HR executives and their teams.

With small businesses, Marna is able to add huge value through providing an accurate and efficient payroll and remuneration service in the absence of a formal HR function. Marna is registered with SARS as a Tax Practitioner.
